# Find Your Pattern

A short set of plain-language questions about a specific street or intersection, how people use it, how fast traffic moves through it, what's around it, will eventually turn a reader's answers into the Functional Classification and Street Typology that fits.

In the meantime, browse [Street Types & Classifications](https://commonwaysystem.org/guide/street-types.md) directly and match your street to the closest description, or look through [Patterns](https://commonwaysystem.org/patterns.md) by Functional Classification if you already have a rough sense of whether you're dealing with a Local street, a Collector, an Arterial, or an intersection.
