COL-MUT-06 Typical at: Rural Suburban Compact Urban Core
Undeveloped contexts are an unlikely pairing.
Should accommodate a broader range of user speeds and behaviors than a Shared-Use Path, given its greater length and mixed trip purposes. Wayfinding and rest amenities become more important at this length.
Distinct from Bike Highway / Greenway (COL-BHG-04), which is bicycle-priority rather than equal-priority. This pattern is appropriate where the trail itself functions as a recreational or civic destination rather than purely a bicycle through-corridor.
Where this trail runs parallel to a road for a meaningful stretch, see Road-Adjacent Greenway (CDR-RAG-05) for the corridor-scale relationship between the two.
